Midterm Portfolio
This is the final photo of the blue house. While editing it I used rebatement and symmetry to decide on how I should edit certain elements of the image. I made the tree on the left taller using a combination of copy-and-paste and the clone stamp tool to make it blend in a bit better. I used adjustment layers, raised the brightness and brought out the blue with the use of curves and levels respectively. I then lowered the saturation of everything else besides the house so it would pop even more. I wanted the blue house to be the focal point of the image. This edit is much more subtle, all I really wanted to do was raise the brightness of the foreground and fix the color a bit. To achieve this I used two adjustment layers, both selecting everything besides the bright background. I used curves on one of these adjustment layers and color balance on the other.
